Improving Evaluation of Urinary Tract Infections in the Elderly:
Collaborative on Antibiotic Stewardship for Seniors in Long Term Care
This initiative currently supports long term care facilities and long term acute care hospitals to improve evaluation and treatment of urinary tract infection and asymptomatic bacteriuria in long term care residents, in order to reduce the inappropriate use of antibiotics. A prior program offered tools and supports for hospital emergency departments, and these tools are also available below.
